Our school, which was opened in 1997 as the Near East University School of Physical Education and Sports, has become the Faculty of Sports Sciences since June 2018. Thus, the first School of Physical Education and Sports established on the island of Cyprus continues its leadership as the first Faculty of Sports Sciences on the island. Our faculty consists of four departments: Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Sports Management, Coaching and Recreation.

Our mission is to continue leading the way in training contemporary teachers, coaches, managers and recreation leaders in Sports Sciences; In this context, to train highly motivated professionals who are enterprising, innovative, capable of directing a quality workforce at both national and international levels, who can lead the establishment of local sports culture and solve problems with scientific principles.

Our vision, as the Faculty of Sports Sciences, is to be an education and training institution that is constructive, creative, professional in human relations, honest, can take risks and exhibits high performance in this field, and can renew itself scientifically and technologically.
